About this mezcal. Mezcal Carreño Ensamble 7 is a unique ensamble produced by Aureliano Hernandez using seven species of maguey: Espadín, Tobalá, Tobasiche, Tepeztate, Coyote, Lumbre, and Cuishe. These seven wild agaves represent the seven sisters of the Carreño family. The agaves are evenly weighed out to have a balance of flavor.

For more than 100 years, the Carreño family has been producing artisanal mezcal in San Dionisio Ocotlán, a town of just 1,000 people in Oaxaca Mexico, using traditional and sacred techniques passed down from generation to generation.
