Named after the 80's MTV personality, the name proved unequivocally true, as it was a challenge to keep the heads from dragging in the left-hand turns.

The BMW R nineT was designed as a "blank canvas for customizing.". The subframe, headlight, and taillights can be easily unbolted, and bike has separate engine and chassis wiring harnesses. The roadster styling puts a lot of emphasis on the 1170cc "oilhead" flat-twin boxer engine, which makes a stout 110 horsepower at the rear wheel.
